  I need to get a new passport and I live in Clarkdale, AZ. Last time we got passports it was at the courthouse off of hwy. 260. I see that they are available from our Clarkdale post office......but after reading the reviews of others and recalling my own negative experiences with Katie and one other postal worker there, I will gladly go to Prescott or wherever I must to get new passports. I have actually written to the Postmaster General in the past, due to the rudeness and outright oppositional behavior of Katie and the younger woman who works there. They have cost me money by returning merchandise (when I have paid extra for 2-day shipping )from one of my vendors. I am glad I read the other reviews of the personnel in our little town's post office, before deciding to get our new passports. It validates my impression of them and lets me know it isn't only me that they treat with so little respect. Seems like someone in power needs to evaluate this situation and replace the grumpy, rude postal clerks with people who actually enjoy working with the public....(who does, by the way, pay their salary.)

• Review of "Town Of Clarkdale" at Clarkdale

  +JMJ...The Town of Clarkdale is my kind of town. Very small, quiet, situated just at the foot of Mingus mountain (very picturesque views of Jerome clinging to the side of and nestled in the mountain's rocks, cactus and other desert flora!). A town whose main thoroughfare sports one service station, at least 2 Churches (one St Cecilia's, my parish Church), a post office, a thriving museum of Cooper works, and several popular eateries: Su Casa, Violet's Bakery and Cafe, the 10/12 Lounge, a little general store - Clarkdale Market, and a quaint little historical museum, to name a few places of interest. The town also hosts great events in their park. I don't think one could classify Clarkdale as a tourist attraction, but I have seen vans carrying sightseers to a look out point near the historical museum to share details about the workings of the former mines. To me, Clarkdale is a lovely little town which is a worthwhile visit if for no other reason but to spend a few hours in the park relaxing in a lounge chair or on one of the park's many benches reading a real book, chit chatting with a friend or two or just taking in the surrounding natural beauty of the land.

  I have always had great customer service at the Clarkdale Post Office. They can do all of the things that a big post office can, including passports, which they helped me with for myself and my 3 young children and they were all very helpful and complimentary!
